Welcome! This website was created to document the history of the Puerto Rican community in Trenton, New Jersey. Here you will find a map that shows key locations where Puerto Ricans have made an impact as well as pictures, news articles, and interviews. The goal of this website is to capture and preserve the stories of Puerto Ricans in the city since the 1950s. The Puerto Rican population is known as the oldest hispanic population in Trenton and the greater Mercer County area. Many credit Trenton's Puerto Ricans with creating a hospitable environment for newer Latin American immigrants. This website is meant to share the legacy of Puerto Ricans so that it is never forgotten!
